Innovation and entrepreneurship strengthen ties at Transfiere

The work of disseminating and raising awareness of the importance of registering Industrial Property (IP) rights is part of the DNA of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO). We spare no effort in fulfilling this commitment and we travel to all kinds of events.

And, to be honest, who doesn't fancy a trade fair in Andalusia?

That is why this month we have been at Transfiere, the annual forum on innovation created in 2011 to promote the transfer of knowledge, experience and cooperation between the scientific field and the business sector.

Transfiere has become a reference event for the institutions of the innovation ecosystem such as researchers from universities, research organizations, SMEs, entrepreneurs and start-ups, which has the support of several public institutions.

The aim is to encourage the sharing of valuable scientific and technological knowledge, fostering innovation and establishing links between science and the business world. It is a space for professionals from different sectors to meet with the ultimate goal of improving business competitiveness and creating business opportunities.

Our work there has consisted, precisely, in putting research professionals in contact with the business world to create positive synergies for both, using the 'Patent Space' for this purpose.

We have also collaborated in the evaluation of the nominations for the Transfiere Journalism Awards, whose aim is to recognize the work of journalists who contribute with their work to the dissemination of technological innovation developed in Spain.
