The SPTO participates in WIPO AssembliesFrom 9 to 17 July, the meetings of the 22 Assemblies and other organizations of the Member States and Unions that the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) manages were held in Geneva, with the participation of more than 1,400 delegates, including members of the spanish SPTO. During these assemblies, the delegates were able to review the work carried out by WIPO during 2023 and to determine the activities that will be carried out in the future. The Assemblies are held after the approval of the new treaty on Intellectual Property and Indigenous Peoples, an important step towards a more inclusive system. During these days, delegates were able to participate in other activities to promote culture and innovation, such as the presentation of the nine winners of the 2024 World Awards, whose inventions range from 3D printed bone implants and waste sorting robots to artificial intelligence-based brain injury scanners.
