SPTO - UIMP Summer Course "Industrial Property and Sustainable Development Goals" The 18th edition of the SPTO - UIMP Seminar took place from July 1 to 5 as part of its summer courses. This year it was dedicated to highlight how the protection of industrial property (IP) contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that make up the 2030 Agenda and which was set by the United Nations Organization.

The State Security Forces and Corps continue their actions in the fight against counterfeiting The Ministry of Internal Affairs has published the data of interventions of State Security Forces and Corps (FCSE) related to counterfeits carried out in the year 2023 and the result is that more than 3.6 million counterfeit products have been seized, which would have reached a market value of 149 million euros.

Barcelona has been incorporated into the European Network of Authenticities The SPTO and the Barcelona City Council have signed an agreement for the incorporation of the city into the European Network of Authentic Cities. This initiative aims to raise awareness of the value of industrial property and the negative impact of the purchase and sale of counterfeit products.

The SPTO participates in WIPO Assemblies From 9 to 17 July, the meetings of the 22 Assemblies and other organizations of the Member States and Unions that the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) manages were held in Geneva, with the participation of more than 1,400 delegates, including members of the spanish SPTO.
