SPTO - UIMP Summer Course "Industrial Property and Sustainable Development Goals"The 18th edition of the SPTO - UIMP Seminar took place from July 1 to 5 as part of its summer courses. This year it was dedicated to highlight how the protection of industrial property (IP) contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that make up the 2030 Agenda and which was set by the United Nations Organization. The course was structured in different blocks in which more than 20 experts from the public and private sectors participated, analyzing and debating the contribution of IP in the SDGs related to the health and well-being of people, the environment and technology. Representatives from the SPTO, WIPO, EPO and EUIPO participated in the first day presenting their strategies and action plans to promote the protection of inventions related to the SDGs.
