The SPTO's monthly statistics are renewed: new, improved, easy and accessible designOn the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day, April 26, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) presented a free catalog with 100 of its leading technologies, at an event held in the Converge space, the CSIC's open innovation hub, with the participation of the institution's president, Eloísa del Pino, and the director of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), Aida Fernández. This catalog compiles a hundred innovative and disruptive technologies developed by the institution, mostly protected by an industrial or intellectual property title, which are at an advanced level of development, propose innovative approaches and offer advantages over those already commercialized, placing them in a relevant position for their transfer to the market. This research shows the CSIC's effort to protect and transfer its scientific knowledge to the market. This institution is positioned as the main applicant for international patents in Spain, according to the Patent Index 2023 presented by the European Patent Office (EPO). The day ended with a meeting between industrial property managers, companies, researchers and other agents of the innovation ecosystem, who were able to exchange ideas on the technologies presented.
