Call for subsidies for the promotion of patent applications and utility models in Spain and abroad for 2024

The SPTO, in order to promote protection outside our country and encourage the exploitation of Spanish technology and promote technology transfer, has been publishing for several years a call for grants for Spanish patent and utility model applications.

The publication was made on April 18 in the Official State Gazette. 

The deadline for submitting applications began on April 19 and will end on May 20, 2024 inclusive.

This call for subsidies has a total budget of 6,173,350 euros and is made up of two programs:

1. Program for the promotion of patent and utility model applications abroad, in order to boost technology protection and improve competitiveness in foreign markets.
2. Program for the promotion of Spanish patent and utility model applications to foster national technology protection.
