March 8, 2023: International Women's Day

On the occasion of International Women's Day, on March 8, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (SPTO), with the collaboration of the National Innovation Company S.A., (ENISA), the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) and the Spanish National Research  Center (CSIC), organized a conference where leading women in innovation in the health sector and entrepreneurs narrated their experiences in the world of entrepreneurship, technology transfer and the search for investment.

Cooperation agreement between the SPTO and the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country in matters of Industrial Property

On March 5, 2023, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (OEPM) and the General Administration of the Autonomous Community of Euskadi signed an agreement whose purpose is to establish a collaboration framework between both institutions to disseminate the technological information subject to registration, as well as to promote greater and better knowledge, protection and observance of industrial property rights in the Autonomous Community, and carrying out, to this end, the activities to combat the counterfeiting of industrial property rights that are considered appropriate.

On February 24, the first edition of the Javier Navarro Journalism Awards was held at the headquarters of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (SPTO), awards that have been convened by the Association for the Defense of the Trademark (ANDEMA).
