On March 16, 2010, the Resolution dated March 9, 2010, which establishes the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office Electronic Head Office, was published in the Official State Bulletin (BOE).
Modification of the Implementing Regulation of the Patent Law
On March 23, 2010, the Official State Bulletin published Royal Decree 245/2010 which modifies the Regulation for applying Patent Law 11/1986, dated March 20.
Inventions receive the European Inventor Award 2010 in Madrid
The European Inventor Award is given in recognition of outstanding inventors from around the world working in all fields of technology and comprises all sectors (public, private, academic, among others).
European Patent Forum 2010
On April 28 and 29, the European Patent Forum 2010 was held at the Hotel Eurostars Madrid Tower, at the same time the European Inventor Awards were presented. The event was organized by the European Patent Office, the European Commission and the Spanish Presidency of the European Union, with the collaboration of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.
On April 21, 2010, Mr. Javier Vera Roa took the post of Director of the Patents and Information Technology Department.
From July 12 to 16, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and the Menéndez Pelayo International University are organizing this summer course that focuses on specific areas of society where the role of Industrial Property and its protection are particularly relevant: health, the environment, sports, SMEs.
