New SPTO payment system

The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), in continuation with its policy of improving access for citizens and companies in accordance with Electronic Administration Law 11/2007, has incorporated a new electronic payment system that will facilitate carrying out procedures with the SPTO.

This new option allows for making payments to the SPTO by means of the La Caixa gateway, the entity that was awarded the contract for managing payments to the SPTO.

In order to access the La Caixa gateway it's not necessary to possess a certificate allowing for an advanced electronic signature, but you do need a checking account or a La Caixa savings passbook and be signed up to the Línea Abierta service. Payment is automatic and immediately charged to the account, while proof of payment is provided at the same time.

This new payment system will allow you to carry out the same type of payments that are currently being performed with the AEAT gateway:individual, batches of up 500 payments and file of up to 400 payments.
