Paralegals, Industrial Property Administration Course

This year, in collaboration with the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI), we are once again offering the "Paralegals" course, which provides theoretical and practical training in industrial property for professionals working in industrial property offices and departments, for employees of Offices for the Transfer of Industrial Property Results (OTRI), or for anyone interested in these topics.

The course is divided into 5 modules that can be attended independently.

The mornings will be devoted to the theoretical part of the course and the afternoons to the practical part.

- Module 1: focuses on the meaning of Industrial Property and its management as a key to the protection of intangible assets and on the SPTO's information services (from February 3 to 6, 2025).

- Module 2: will deal with the application and granting procedure of a patent and a utility model (from March 3 to 6, 2025).

- Module 3: the procedure for processing a European patent application will be explained (from April 7 to 10, 2025).

- Module 4: PCT application procedure before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the SPTO (from May 5 to 8, 2025).

- Module 5: Addresses the study of distinctive signs and design as a means of generating business value (from June 2 to 5, 2025).

This course is one of the initiatives that form part of the “Carlos Fernández-Novoa Chair of Innovation and Industrial Property”. Registration is open until the starting date of each of the modules.
