The European Industrial Property Forum consolidates its position as a key meeting point for the IP sector

The second European Industrial Property (IP) Forum was held in Barcelona on November 21 and 22. This event, organized by the Association for the Defense of Trademarks, ANDEMA, with the support of the SPTO, aims to analyze the situation of the Industrial Property (IP) sector in Europe from the perspective of the professionals involved.

More than 200 national and international experts from various professions within the sector have participated in this edition. During these days, business leaders and professionals from both the private sector and public administrations have gathered around different round tables, which has led to debate and exchange of ideas.

Among the topics discussed some as interesting as brand identity, the irruption of Artificial Intelligence in the sector, the fight against counterfeiting, the proposed regulation of product packaging or coordinated actions between public administrations at European level stand out.

The European Industrial Property Forum is therefore moving towards its consolidation as a space for open dialogue that aims to promote collaboration between all the agents involved.

The event also contributes to vindicate the role of Spain in the defense of the trademark and to highlight the contribution of our country to the world of Industrial Property. This is evidenced by the institutional support for the event, which was attended by the director of the SPTO, Elisa Rodríguez, and closed by the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu.
