EUIPO Seminar: IPforyou: EUIPO at your serviceOn May 23 the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in collaboration with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (SPTO) organized a seminar addressed to IP attorneys, paralegals and other IP related professionals. During the seminar, experts from both offices gave presentations on relevant Industrial Property (IP) topics for IP attorneys, paralegals and other IP professionals. Specifically, the SPTO spoke about "Practical Cases of Proof of Use" in the case of designs and "relevant aspects of administrative invalidity" for trademarks. The EUIPO representatives discussed the procedural problems before the EUIPO, related to the protection of Geographical Indications, presented some of the practical aspects when filing evidence before the EUIPO: Proof of Use, Reputation and Distinctiveness acquired by use, and on the Trademark Invalidity Procedure before the EUIPO. This seminar was held in person at the SPTO headquarters in Madrid, and could be attended virtually.
