A sheet recognition unit includes: a light source capable of irradiating a sheet to be recognized with light having a specific wavelength; a light receiving unit that includes a plurality of light receiving elements respectively including a plurality of color filters that transmit infrared light and have different visible light transmission characteristics, receives, at the plurality of light receiving elements, light arriving from the sheet to be recognized, based on the light from the light source, and outputs light detection signals; and a recognition unit that performs arithmetic on light amount data based on the light detection signals output from the light receiving unit, depending on a ratio of genuine reference data to calculate an amount of at least one color in visible light and an amount of infrared light and recognize the sheet to be recognized based on calculated results.

A printing process for a piercing-resistant flame-retardant label, relating to the technical field of printing. The flame-retardant label comprises a piercing-resistant base layer (10), a flame-retardant layer (20), a printed pattern layer (30), and a piercing-resistant surface layer (40) which are arranged in sequence. The base layer (10) and the surface layer (40) are DuPont films laminated together via a composite process, and the durability and use effect of the label are improved by means of the piercing resistance of the Dupont films. In the printing process, the treatment of the base layer (10) comprises stretching to ensure a flat surface, followed by precisely applying thereon a bonding layer (102) and an adhesive film layer, as well as attaching the flame-retardant layer (20), thereby effectively improving the flatness and structural strength of the base layer (10) and imparting excellent flame-retardant properties to a product. Additionally, the flame-retardant properties and the structural strength can both be improved, providing a powerful guarantee for product safety.

A synthetic image device (1) comprises an array (10) of line focusing elements (11), an image layer (20) having linear extending cells (22), and a coloured background layer assembly (25). A limited part of the image layer is visible through the array of line focusing elements. Each cell comprises at least three sub-cells (24A-C). The at least three sub-cells having individual visual- contrast creating patterns (21), forming sub-images. Composed images, associated with a set composed by one sub-image from each cell, are visible from different viewing angles. The composed images together present a movement effect. The coloured background layer assembly covers a surface facing away from the image layer. The background layer assembly has a first colouring (28A), visible through the image layer. The first colouring presents a colour varying over the extension of the background layer assembly in registry with movement effects. A producing method is also disclosed.
